As a native Austinite, Laurie Marchant has been at the forefront of representing architectural and home decor products in Austin since 2001. After graduating from the University of Texas, Laurie's journey took her to the bustling streets of New York City, where she immersed herself in the vibrant culture of SoHo while honing her skills as the in-house restorer for Sarajo, an esteemed antique furniture and textile gallery.

Driven by her Texan roots and a desire to make a difference in the world of art and design, Laurie returned to Texas and in 2002 co-founded a highly successful luxury hardware and plumbing showroom, bearing her name. Over the years, this venture flourished, becoming a design industry staple before Laurie transitioned into a new chapter of her career journey in 2020.

With decades of industry expertise under her belt, Laurie redirected her focus towards a new endeavor: curating and purveying a niche collection of artisan brands that celebrate legacy manufacturing with a keen eye for design and an unwavering commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices-in Studio Marchant. Each item is thoughtfully chosen to elevate your space while aligning with our values of integrity and responsibility.

With sustainability in mind, Maison de Reve was born from Laurie’s passion for the timeless beauty and history of antiques. Laurie's journey into the world of antiques began with a deep fascination for the craftsmanship and stories behind each piece. This passion led her to Antwerp, a city renowned for its rich history and vibrant antique market. Through her connections with esteemed antique dealers in Antwerp, Laurie has curated a collection that is both diverse and unique.
